Velvet black Biomaster
Biomaster is a silver ion antimicrobial powder for the control of microbial growth on transparent substrates that does not alter colour or opacity. The inorganic nature, small particle size and resistance to high temperatures of this additive make it ideal for use in a wide range of applications.
The Biomaster antimicrobial agent is based on silver ion technology and has three modes of action. When bacteria come into contact with a Biomaster protected surface, the silver ions prevent bacterial growth, energy production and propagation, causing them to die. The protection of Biomaster is incredibly durable, long-lasting and highly active. When added, it disperses throughout the mass and becomes an integral part of the product. Silver is inorganic and, unlike organic antimicrobial technologies, remains inside the treated element it is added to. The active ingredient therefore provides maximum antibacterial protection throughout the useful life of the treated product.

Yes, we performed some tests at the 3A LABORATORI S.r.l. laboratory in Padua. The tests were carried out in compliance with the ISO 22196:2011 technical standard and showed a very high percentage of bacterial activity reduction (Staphylococcus aureus: 99.87% / Escherichia coli: 99.99%).
The trueness of the test results is attested by the fact that 3A LABORATORI S.r.l. is ACCREDIA accredited (registration number: 1165). ACCREDIA is the sole Italian Accreditation Body and is part of the ILAC-MRA international circuit. The world’s major certification bodies are ILAC-MRA signatories and mutually recognise the tests carried out under the accreditation regime.
The treatment is considered effective for the entire life cycle of the mixer, it has passed neutral salt spray tests (200 h) and has no harmful effects. The surface finish is not altered in terms of aesthetics, nor does it smell different from the standard.
