Authorial design in the silence of the Alps

Lira

Set within an unspoiled landscape, Chalet Non-sens by L’Occitane redefines the rules of alpine hospitality. Included in the prestigious Amazing Places list, this retreat stems from the vision of designer Dominika Devoty, who transformed the structural constraints of a traditional log cabin into a powerful expressive feature. Here, where wood reigns and shapes the spaces with natural rigor, there was no room for standard solutions: every element had to engage in dialogue with the living material of the building.

The most complex challenge in the bathroom areas was identifying tapware capable of harmonizing with both natural stone and the strong presence of wood, without appearing alien or overly technical. The answer came with Nobili’s Lira collection in the evocative Mora finish.

This distinctive dark, matte nuance proved to be the perfect “missing piece” for completing the project’s material palette. The Lira series, with its contemporary reinterpretation of cross handles, integrates quietly into the warmth of the wood, offering a sophisticated yet natural visual contrast. The result is a sensory form of luxury in which Italian design completes the soft, cocoon-like atmosphere of the chalet, demonstrating how, even in this context, elegance lies in the coherence of details.
